Because Riding A Bike Professionally Demands Core Strength Too
Cycling may seem to be an easy sport but it is not. Riders need the best equipment and the best gear. But more than that, they need to be in tiptop shape for the long journey ahead.
Core strength training an essential part of their preparation. A strong core equates to better performance.
As strength training coach Riccardo Bianucci puts it, it doesn’t matter if you have powerful legs if you can’t transmit that power to the upper body.
“It’s like building a Formula 1 car,” Bianucci said. “You have the best engine ever but you don’t know how to transmit this power forward.”
